Prohibited Items Policy

1. Purpose

DormSweep is a campus marketplace built for safe, trusted student commerce. This policy defines items that may not be listed or sold on the platform. Violations may result in immediate listing removal, account suspension, or permanent ban.

2. Prohibited Items

The following items are strictly prohibited on DormSweep:

Controlled Substances and Drugs

• Illegal drugs and controlled substances.
• Drug paraphernalia.
• Prescription medications not prescribed to the seller.

Weapons

• Firearms and ammunition.
• Explosives or explosive components.
• Weapons of any kind.

Alcohol, Tobacco, and Vaping

• Alcohol of any kind.
• Tobacco products.
• Vape devices, e-cigarettes, and related products.

Fraudulent and Illegal Goods

• Counterfeit or fake goods misrepresented as genuine.
• Stolen property.
• Items with removed or altered serial numbers.

Hazardous Materials

• Flammable materials not intended for normal consumer use.
• Hazardous chemicals.

Academic Dishonesty Materials

• Academic cheating materials.
• Pre-written essays or assignments intended for submission as one's own work.
• Exam answer keys.
• Course materials obtained or distributed in violation of academic policy.

Illegal Services

• Any service that facilitates illegal activity.
• Access to third-party accounts, credentials, or subscriptions.

3. Enforcement

DormSweep reserves the right to remove any listing at its sole discretion at any time. DormSweep may also remove any listing that presents a safety, legal, reputational, or operational risk to the platform, even if not specifically listed in this policy.

Users who violate this policy may receive a warning, temporary suspension, or permanent ban. DormSweep may report illegal activity to campus authorities or law enforcement.
